Nitrobenzene is an organic compound, which is a derivative of benzene. It has a triple bond between the carbon and the hydrogen. The chemical formula for nitrobenzene is (CH3)3N.


Mono- and dinitrotoluenes:


Mono- and dinitrotoluenes are colorless, flammable organic liquids with a strong odor. They are mainly used in the production of nitro aromatics. Nitrobenzene is one of the major products obtained by treating benzene with ammonia (NH3) at elevated temperature and pressure.
