Insertion:
An insertion is a device used to introduce a flow of nitrogen into an open system. It can be used in gas meters, fire detectors, and air-conditioning systems. The most common usage of the insertion is to measure the flow rate of nitrogen from an air compressor or tire inflator into a vehicle’s tires for determining if they are properly inflated or not.
