Non-Thermal Processing is the use of energy other than heat to change the physical or chemical state of a material. This includes irradiation, microwaves, ultrasound, and electric fields. HPP:


High-pressure Processing (HPP) is a new technology that has been evolving over the past decade. The technology involves processing at extremely high pressure (up to 200 bars) which helps in increasing the yield of end products by reducing energy consumption during manufacturing processes.


PEF:


Polyethylene is a widely used thermoplastic polymer. It is produced from the reaction of ethylene and furan in the presence of oxygen. PEF can be segmented into High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) and Low-Density Polyethylene (LDPE). HDPE has higher density as compared to LDPE, therefore it is used for manufacturing films & sheets that are used in food packaging applications.
