Two-phase separators are used for the separation of liquid and gaseous streams in petroleum refining, petrochemical manufacturing, natural gas processing and other industries. In a two-phase separator, there are two distinct phases present namely liquid phase and gaseous phase.
Three Phase Separators:
Three phase separators are used in oil and gas separation equipment to remove water from the feedstream. It is a type of multi-media filter media that uses three different types of media to separate liquid based on their density. The three different types of mediums used in this device include ceramic, plastic and steel balls. These are usually available with a choice of two or four port configurations depending upon the application requirements which can be connected through tubing to other filtration devices or pipeline systems.
