Water-based is a type of coating which is applied to the organophilic bentonite clay. It helps in enhancing the surface activity and wetting agent properties of clay. The product also helps in increasing the absorption capacity of clay for toxic substances such as heavy metals, pesticides, and others.
The water-based coatings are used on account of their environment friendly nature as they do not contain any solvents or VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds).
