Oxygen-rich Membrane:


Oxygen-rich membrane is a part of biological system which contains more amount of oxygen than the atmosphere. It can be produced by different methods like respiration, photosynthesis, and fermentation. In anoxygenic bacteria or in fungi there is no need for O2 because they do not use molecular oxygen but produce it through different pathways.


Oxygen-rich membrane has wide range of applications in industries like pharmaceuticals, biotechnology & food processing.
