A panel meter is a type of electromechanical meter that is used to measure electric current or voltage in an electrical circuit. Panel meters are typically rectangular in shape and have a number of different scales on the front that allow the user to measure different parameters.


Analog Panel Meters:


Analog panel meters are the most basic type of electrical measuring instruments. They are used for measuring low to high voltage AC and DC current in residential, commercial and industrial applications. Analog panel meters can be used with power supplies having input voltages between 0V and 1,000V AC or DC.


Digital Panel Meters:


Digital panel meters are electronic devices that can be connected to a data acquisition system in order to measure an electrical current or voltage. They are used for monitoring the performance of electronic and electrical equipment such as motors, transformers, switchboards etc. The main function of these meters is to provide accurate measurement and display information related to power quality parameters such as noise, distortion and line frequency among others.
