Phosphino carboxylic acid is an organophosphorus compound with the formula P(=O)C(H)OP(O)(OH). It is a colorless liquid that is soluble in organic solvents. The molecule consists of a phosphine oxide group (-P-O-) bonded to a carbonyl group (-C=O), which in turn is bonded to an alcohol group (-OH). Phosphino carboxylic acids are used as ligands in coordination chemistry.

Purity greater than or equal to 30% is called a pure substance. It can be manufactured by two methods, either by crystallization or via rotary evaporation technique. Pure substances are used in various applications such as pharmaceuticals and research chemicals.

Other:


Other is a chemical compound, which is produced by the reaction of phosphoric acid and oxalic acid. It has the formula (H2O)n-1PO4.


Application Insights:
