Chloride Process:
The chloride process is used to manufacture titanium dioxide (TiO2) in the form of a powder. It is one of the most important production processes for TiO2 and accounts for over 50% of global production. The process involves hydrolysis and chlorination of titanium tetrachloride to produce TiO2 along with other chemicals such as HCl, Cl4, Hg0, and others.
