A pilot-operated safety valve is a valve that uses a small amount of fluid flow to control a much larger flow of fluid. This type of valve is often used in high-pressure or high-temperature applications, as it can provide precise control over the flow of fluids while maintaining safety.


Closed Type:


Closed type is a safety valve which can be closed by the pilot operated. It has no flow through port and hence it does not affect the downstream pressure or velocity. The closed type is mainly used in high-pressure, high-temperature environment to control the pressure loss and overspeed of turbine blades in gas turbines, steam turbines or supercritical power plants.
