Line type radiant tube heaters are used in the plate and frame heat exchangers to provide forced convection heating. The line type radiant heating element consists of a copper tube, which is usually coiled and placed inside a larger copper or aluminum tubing for conducting the heat from one side to another. These elements can be installed in series or parallel depending upon the requirements of the system.
