Pocket ventilation systems (PVSs) are a type of mechanical ventilation system that helps to remove excess heat and humidity from an enclosed space. Steam Heated Cylinders:


Steam heated cylinders are used in pocket ventilation systems to provide heat as well as Ventilation. The system works on the principle of Condensation, which takes place between the moist air and the cylinder surface, thereby producing a vapor inside the cylinder. This vapor is then released into the surrounding area through exhaust outlets or mouthpieces present at both ends of each steam-heated cylinder.


Multi-Cylinder Dryers:


Multi-cylinder dryers are used to improve the efficiency of pocket ventilation systems. These devices consist of a series of cylinders, each with its own blower wheel and duct. The multi-cylinder dryer is usually placed in between the patient's bed and the wall, or ceiling. As air passes through the patient's bed it is heated by his or her body temperature and then delivered into rooms via ducts attached to exhaust ports located on either side of beds or walls.
