A Polyamide Wax is a synthetic polymer that is derived from two monomers - a diamine and a dicarboxylic acid. It is used as a lubricant, an anti-foaming agent, and an emulsifier in various industrial applications.


Granules:


Granules are the solid particles and are majorly used in polyamide wax. It is a by-product obtained during the fractionation process of petroleum refining.


Small granule size (less than 60 mesh) - This product is widely used in industrial applications such as lubricants, paints, adhesives & coatings.


Powder:


Powder is a fine, dry, free-flowing mixture of synthetic or natural waxes. It can be produced from petroleum and coal tar. The most commonly used powder in the industry is made from petroleum waxes and it has high demand due to its cost effectiveness as compared to other products available in the market.


Application Insights:


Processing aid was the largest application segment in 2016, accounting for over 60% of the overall demand. Polyamide waxes are used as processing aids in several industries including food & beverage and chemical. They are also used as a component in various other end-use industries such as paper, textile and leather.
