Thermoplastic type is a broad category of thermoplastics that are solid at room temperature but flow or melt when heated. Thermoplastic has the ability to re-form into their original shape after being bent, molded, or cut. They can also be re-melted and reshaped by reheating above the processing temperature. Thermosetting Type:


Thermosetting type is a polymer that changes its physical and chemical properties when heated or cooled. Thermosetting polymers are cross-linked, i.e., linked by covalent bonds; they cannot be re-melt and remolded like thermoplastic polymers. They do not have good heat resistance, but once the initial curing takes place, they do not change much further in terms of their properties.
