Potassium Diformate is a potassium salt of difluoromethane. It has 98% of the chemical composition and is a clear, colorless liquid with an odor similar to that of garlic or rotten eggs. It has a strong tendency to form explosive mixtures with air. This can be dangerous in case it gets into the wrong hands and/or finds its way into environments where there are inflammable substances present (fuel, oil, etc.).
95% Potassium Diformate:
Potassium diformate is a potassium salt which has the formula K2O(sulfate)2. It is a white crystalline solid and very soluble in water, but quite insoluble in organic solvents. Potassium diformate has been traditionally used as an anti-caking agent for food products such as flour, sugar, and others where uniformity of product is important.
