Ultrafiltration:
Ultrafiltration is a cross-flow filtration process that enhances the permeability and removes the protein aggregates to an extent. It works by creating micro-pore in the membrane allowing ultrafast passage of small molecules and ions through filter membrane. The ultrafilter technique has wide applications in milk, juices, wines, beer & dairy products for removal of proteins or other particles that may be responsible for spoilage.
