Vest:


A vest is a device worn by radiation and chemotherapy patients to protect their chest from harmful radiation. It works like a shield, absorbing the radiations which in turn reduces the dose received by the patient. The Vest has two types: Water Based Vests (W-BV) and Oil Based Vests (O-BV).


Skirt:


A skirt is a protective device that is placed around the radiotherapy equipment to protect it from accidental contact with the skin. It also helps in reducing patient contamination of the radiotherapy field and improves its efficiency. Skirt has different types such as single, double, triple, and quadruple skirted shields available depending upon the need of patients undergoing Radiotherapy treatments for cancer.
