Cyclohexene is an intermediate product in the production of adipic acid. It is a colorless liquid that exists in nature as plant derivatives such as s-coumarol and benzene derivatives. The process of manufacturing cyclohexene from its natural sources or synthetic route involves oxidation with air to yield olefin, followed by hydrogenation to form the final product.
