Product Definition:
A resistor thermometer (RTD) is a type of resistance temperature detector (RTD) that uses the principle of resistivity change with temperature to measure temperature. RTDs are often made of platinum, nickel, or copper wire wound into a coil. When the wire is heated, its resistance increases.
Two-wire RTD:
RTD two-wire is a temperature sensor technology that measures temperature in two wires, which are the power and ground. RTD sensors have high accuracy, immunity to noise & offset errors and can be used for various applications such as industrial process control system automation equipment, building automation systems (BAS), automotive engine management systems (EMS) and medical devices.
Three-wire RTD:
Three-wire RTD (Rising Temperature Detection) is a temperature measurement device that uses three wires to transmit data to the measuring equipment. It consists of an RTD probe, which is inserted into the material to be measured, and a sensor on the other end. The two ends are connected by means of an electrical circuit that allows heat flow between them.
The most commonly used materials for making probes include copper.
