Mechanical safety interlock switches are used in the control circuits of machines and equipment to perform a specific task. These switches are designed with features that help in preventing accidents caused by unexpected machine operations. The design of these switches includes a mechanical component that requires an additional force to operate, which is usually referred as “trip” position, and an alternative position that allows normal operation without any complications.
