Product Definition:


A self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) is a device worn by firefighters, industrial workers, and others who need to breathe in an emergency situation where the air quality is poor. The SCBA includes a facemask or helmet with a tight-fitting seal and a supply of compressed air or other breathing gas.


Open-Circuit SCBA:


Open-circuit scuba, also known as open- circuit full body Aqua Lung, is a type of underwater breathing apparatus used for extended underwater operations. It has no filters and can deliver oxygen directly to the user from the tank. The OCS (Open Circuit Scuba) is an evolution of traditional DC (Diving Compressed) SCUBA which delivers compressed air via a regulator to the mask via a hose.


Closed-Circuit SCBA:


Closed-Circuit SCBA is a self-contained breathing apparatus with a gas supply and an air filter. It has no external source of oxygen other than the compressed air that is supplied from the tank. The closed circuit allows carbon dioxide to exit through the filters and oxygen to enter via the regulator, which is connected to an airline respirator.
