Magnesium and alloy coolant is used in semi-synthetic coolants. It is a combination of magnesium sulfate and aluminum sulfate, which are the most commonly used chemicals for cooling purposes. The mixture functions as an excellent hygroscopic agent that attracts water from the air to form a damp layer on its surface, thereby reducing the evaporation rate of liquid from industrial equipment.
