Product Definition:
Sheathing Panels are a kind of flat, rectangular panel that is used as the outermost layer of protection for a building's walls. Sheathing Panels are usually made from plywood or other types of wood, but they can also be made from metal, plastic, or composites. They provide a weather-resistant barrier between the exterior and interior of a structure and help to keep out wind and rain.
OSB Sheathing:
OSB sheathing panels are manufactured using a blend of cellulose and wood flour. The blend is bound with water, which forms a rigid mass called as Board Sheath. Further processing involves cutting the sheath into panels, and then drying them to create OSB sheets that can be used in various applications including roofing, walls & ceilings, flooring & furniture etc.
Particleboard Sheathing:
Particleboard sheathing is a type of wood paneling that is manufactured using sawdust and wood chips. The product was developed as an alternative to plywood in the early 1970s, by virtue of being able to be cut into panels with standard power tools; whereas, plywood required the use of high-pressure steam for heat treatment processes.
The particleboards are produced by binding veneers with adhesive.
