Ultrasonic Additive Manufacturing (UAM) is a process that utilizes high-frequency sound waves to create three-dimensional parts and products from materials such as metals, polymers, ceramics or composites. The material is placed in a container filled with liquid and then exposed to the ultrasonic waves for creating solid structures.
Laminated Object Manufacturing (LOM):
LOM is a process of manufacturing lightweight, rigid, and thin-walled containers by laminating an object or objects between two layers of material. The most commonly laminated materials are plastics & paper; however, LOM using other materials such as metals & glass has also been reported in the industry.
