1000MESH is a measure of the total number of connections that can be made between silica particles in a given volume. 1000 mesh is usually used for measuring the adsorption capacity and surface area of solid materials, such as agricultural chemicals, soil colloids or other natural organic matter.

500Mesh:


500 Mesh is the highest grade of silica available in the market. It has 99.8% purity and is used as an adsorbent for separation and purification of liquids with high vapor pressure. 500 mesh silica gel exhibits superior adsorption properties owing to its small particle size which increases it's utility in various applications including desiccants, drying agents, catalysts & additives, ion-exchange resins & membranes and selective solvent extraction among others.
