Single tungsten filament cell is a type of incandescent lamp. It was developed by the American engineer, Edmond T. Beck in1909 and it had its first commercial appearance in 1910. Single tungsten filament cell consists of a single wick, which is made up of tungsten wire and it is enclosed within an incandescent lamp housing made up of metal or glass material.

The product is majorly used in MBE growth applications as it provides high thermal stability and low levels of contamination for the substrate.
