Single Molybdenum Filament Cell, SMFCC also known as molybdenite or simply Mo-SMC is a mineral containing silicon-free moissanite. It was discovered in 1803 by the French naturalist Charles Bonnet and named after its discoverer. Single filaments are the most common type of SFCs and can be found in almost all types of cells including neurons, muscle fibers, blood vessels & skin cells.


Single Tungsten Filament Cell:


Single tungsten filament cell is a type of incandescent lamp. It was developed by the American engineer, Edmond T. Beck in1909 and it had its first commercial appearance in 1910. Single tungsten filament cell consists of a single wick, which is made up of tungsten wire and it is enclosed within an incandescent lamp housing made up of metal or glass material.

The single-molybdenum filament cell is used to grow a thin film of molybdenum on the silicon substrate. The product is majorly used in MBE growth applications as it provides high thermal stability and low levels of contamination for the substrate.
