HeNe Laser Vibrometers:
HeNe laser vibrometers are used to measure the surface deflection of a thin-walled hollow tube when subjected to an applied mechanical stress. The laser beam is employed as a source of infrared light and it is directed towards the center of the tube. As soon as the beam reflects off the inner wall, an image of that part ofthewall can be obtained which will move along with respect to external forces acting on it.
