Single-suction type is a pump's design that uses only one suction valve, which is mounted on the top of the pump. The single valve allows for less leakage and loss of circulation than two- or multi-valve pumps. This design reduces maintenance costs as there are fewer components to clean and maintain.
Double-suction Type:
Double-suction type is a sub-class of centrifugal pump. It consists of two separate impellers mounted in same housing, which are rotating at different speeds. The faster impeller is used to move fluid with higher pressure and the lower one to move fluids with lower pressure.

The municipal water supply application segment accounted for the largest revenue share of over 40% in 2017.
