The common types of infrared are Near-Infrared (NIR), Mid-infrared (MIR) and Far-infrared (FIR). NIR allows to heat objects up to 3,000K; MIR allows heating up to 1,000K while FIR provides radiation with a wavelength of 10,000K or more.
