Automatic:
Automatic is a device that does the work without any manual intervention. It’s an easy way to distill water and other volatile substances from their respective sources at high temperatures. The process of automatic distillation uses two things, heat and pressure, to separate the liquid into its component parts i.e., vapor & liquid.
Semi-automatic:
Semi-automatic is a device which can be used to distill liquid from one vessel to another without any manual intervention. It’s an advanced version of automatic distillation device and it uses two or more thermometers, connected by a tube through which the vapor travels and makes temperature reading. The most common type of semi-automatic still is the counter-current still, also known as Coriolis still.
