Fixed managed switch is a network device that acts as an endpoint for the management of other switches in the network. It has fixed IP address and can be managed through Device Management Software (DMS) or remotely using SNMP, Telnet or command line interface. The switch is used to connect multiple networks and devices with single cable infrastructure which makes it very useful in data centers, telecommunication & IT sector where there are high chances of errors due to mismanagement of cables.
Fixed Unmanaged:
Fixed Unmanaged is a type of switchgear which is used in stackable switches. It has no operator interface and hence it does not require any electrical experience to operate. Fixed unmanaged switchgear are designed for low power, low voltage applications up to 1,000 A. They have high surge capacity and short circuit current as compared to other types of switchgear such as managed and supervising ones.

The office or commercial use segment dominated the global stackable switch market in terms of revenue share in 2017.
