The DC power source does not require any conversion and can provide higher temperatures as compared to AC powered counterparts, which makes it more suitable for melting metals than the traditional ones.
AC Submerged Arc Furnace:
AC SABF is a gas-fired furnace used in the production of steel. It has an advantage over its counter type as it can be fired from either side and does not require turning to change the facing direction. The basic operation of SABF consists of two steps, namely charging and melting.
