Argon Lasers:


Argon lasers are rare earth ion laser used in medical and dental applications. They have different wavelengths ranging from yellow to deep red with a shorter wavelength of 635 nm as compared to helium-neon (HeNe) which has a longer wavelength of 647 nm. Argon lasers produce light by stimulated emission from gases or liquids at specific wavelengths, which is absorbed by the targeted material. The most commonly targeted materials are water, carbon dioxide, argon gas and oxygen gas in medical procedures.
