Bio-based butadiene is a bio-degradable and renewable polymer, which is produced from the fermentation of yeast or bacteria. It can be derived from various sources such as sugarcane bagasse, corn cobs, jatropha oil & gas fields and milk & juice waste. Bio-based butadiene has high demand in synthetic rubber production due to its superior properties such as abrasion resistance and high strength.
