White is a colorless, crystalline solid. It is an organic compound and has a strong odor. It is soluble in glacial acetic acid and water (2M).


Pink:


Tetraphenylboron (P4B) is a chemical compound and an organic salt. It has a bright pink color and is insoluble in water. Tetraphenylboron has the formula B(OH)4-2H2O. The tetrahedron structure of P4B makes it highly soluble in water, which results in its ability to be used as an electrolyte for lithium-ion batteries (LiBs).
