99.0% purity is a very high grade of titanium and it has almost no impurities in it. It is used to make titanium hydride which has many industrial applications such as chemical, aerospace, medical and others. 99% pure titanium can be produced by the thermal decomposition of hexachloroplatinate (KCl(Titanium)6).
