Product Definition:


The TOPCon solar cell is a type of solar cell that uses transparent organic photovoltaic (TOP) materials to convert sunlight into electricity. These cells are made up of two thin sheets of plastic, one containing the PV material and the other serving as a protective cover. TOPCon solar cells are important because they can be used to create energy-efficient windows that generate power while still allowing light to pass through.


N Type:


N-type is one of the two basic types of solar cells, along with P-type. N-type has a lower absorption coefficient as compared to P-type, owing to which it can be used in low light conditions. The efficiency of an n type cell is higher than that of a p type cell; however, the manufacturing cost involved in producing these cells is relatively high due to their complex fabrication process.


P Type:


P-type is a special type of semiconductor material used in the manufacture of solar cells. It has a high absorption coefficient and low optical recombination coefficient. The P-type can be differentiated from the N-type by looking at the Emission Spectrum (ES). A P-Type cell produces more power than an N-Type cell but has lower efficiencies because it allows less light to enter into its silicon crystal structure.
