Quartz mask is a photomask used in the fabrication of touch screen devices. It's anisotropic, i.e., it has different properties depending on the direction in which it isoriented. The major property exhibited by these masks includes high optical quality and low absorption coefficient along with anti-reflective coating, which makes them suitable for use as a reflective layer in touch screens and other electronic displays that require high optical clarity and transparency.
Soda Mask:
Soda mask is a transparent sheet used in photomasks. It is also known as the developer or base sheet and it's function is to provide a surface on which the photo-sensitive material can react to produce an image on the film. The most commonly used materials for making masks are glass, plastic, and aluminum; however, any material that provides a flat surface can be used as long as it does not affect negatively the sensitivity of photomask during exposure.
