The product has 99% purity and it can be easily obtained through crystallization or flash chromatography techniques.

It is a chemical intermediate used in the production of various chemicals such as dimethyl terephthalate (DMT), which is further processed to manufacture polyester and nylon resins. 99% ortho isobutylene also finds application in the manufacturing of unsaturated polyester resins, which are utilized for producing construction materials such as adhesives, sealants, composites and coatings.
