An UFAD system is a type of HVAC system that uses air to cool or heat a space. The air is cooled or heated by passing it over an evaporator coil or through a heating element. An UFAD system can be used to cool or heat a single space, or it can be used to cool or heat multiple spaces.

Active diffusers are the devices that introduce a uniform flow of gas into an enclosed space. They are used in air conditioning systems, room fresheners, and HVAC applications to maintain the temperature and humidity levels. The working principle of active diffusers is based on thermodynamics law which states that heat transfer takes place when there is a difference in temperature between two areas or fluids.
Passive Diffusers:
Passive diffusers are the most basic and essential components of any UFAD system. They are used to distribute a uniform flow of liquid over a large area by introducing it into an existing gas stream. The passive diffuser is usually made up of two parts, namely the impeller and the nozzle. The impeller creates a rotating flow pattern which is further transmitted to the nozzle where it is modified before being directed towards its target region with minimum loss due to diffusion.
