Low frequency (LF) is a vibration with a period of time less than 1 second. The sound waves have higher frequencies than the human voice usually ranges from 20 to 16,000 hertz. Low-frequency sound waves are generated by underwater transducers and used for measuring water depth or liquid level in tanks without the need for any other equipment.
Intermediate Frequency:
Intermediate frequency (IF) is the middle band of a very high or very low range radio frequency. It can be used as an underwater transducer to measure water temperature, depth and salinity with great accuracy and precision. IF is also known as intermediate waveband which means it occupies a place between lower/ upper CBR bands at the same frequencies. Lower CBR bands are used for long-range communication while upper CBRs help in monitoring weather conditions from satellites.
