Ambulatory urodynamic devices are used for the measurement of bladder capacity and intravesical pressure in patients. It is a non-invasive procedure that involves no incision, which makes it safer than traditional procedures such as cystoscopy. The main function of these devices is to allow accurate volume measurements without the use of radiation or ionizing radiation, thereby making it more comfortable for patients.


Cystometer:


A cystometer is a diagnostic device used for measuring the bladder capacity. It works by filling the bladder with air and then measuring the pressure that is able to pass through into the urinary drainage system. A normal healthy person has a maximum capacity of around 400 ml to 1 litre (0.4 L) urine, which can be detected using this device during an office-based examination or while on phone call, driving etc.
