1-8MT is a type of metal thioglycolic acid. It has the formula (H2SO4)2. 8-mercapto thymine, also known as 1-8 MT, is an organic compound that contains one amino group and eight methionine groups. It is usually found in nature as a component of uracil, a nucleotide present in RNA and DNA.
