AC voltage divider is a type of electrical circuit that converts the high-voltage direct current (HVDC) to low-voltage alternating current (LCA). The HV DC is generated by a power station and transmitted to another location via an AC transmission system.


The AC voltage division can be done in various ways, which include series resonance, transformer secondary windings or tertiary windings.
