A washing water softener is a device used to soften the water used in a washing machine. When hard water passes through the resin beads, the sodium ions from the salt replace the calcium and magnesium ions, making the water softer.

The most commonly used salt based water softener is sodium alkyl sulphonate, which is also known as alkyl sulphonate. It helps in dissolving the hardness caused due to calcium and magnesium salts in tap or well water.


Salt Free Water Softener:


Salt free water softener is a substitute for chlorine-based or sodium chloride based water softeners. It contains zero salt and hence can be used in washing water hardeners as well. The product has gained popularity owing to the reduced risk of health issues associated with its consumption such as high blood pressure, heart diseases, etc. In addition, it also helps prevent damage to appliances caused by hard water which makes it an effective substitute for traditional products available in the market today.
