Fossil Based:


Fossil-based chemicals are the by-products of organic evolution. Fossil fuels include coal, petroleum, and natural gas. These fossil fuels were formed over millions of years ago from plants and animals that died and were buried under layers of sediment.


Synthetic Based:


Synthetic-based water-based resins are a group of chemicals that are used as a substitute for the natural resin found in plants. They can be produced from petrochemicals or non-petrochemical sources. The most common synthetic resin is polyethylene which is derived from ethylene, one of the derivatives of crude oil.
