Product Definition:
A water mist sprinkler is a type of irrigation system that uses water droplets to provide moisture to plants. This type of irrigation system is often used for crops that are sensitive to wetness or for plants that need a light watering.
Wet Pipe System:
The wet pipe system is a closed circuit which consists of one or more water sources, valves and fittings that can be used to direct the output of a water pump to supply an irrigation system. The main components involved in this process are the valve, pipe fittings and the sprinkler head. This piping system delivers water at high pressure directly to the sprinkler head which helps in providing accurate watering with less human intervention.
Dry Pipe System:
The dry pipe system is a safe and cost-effective way to deliver water, especially in areas with low ground water levels or where surface water is contaminated. The system consists of three components namely the supply line, control valve and the sprinkler head. The control valve allows for an appropriate amount of flow through the supply line based on demand from the sprinkler head.
Application Insights:
The commercial application segment held the largest share of more than 60.0% in 2017. The growth can be attributed to the increasing construction activities and renovation activities in urban areas across the globe. A large number of commercial buildings require water sprinklers as a safety device, especially during summers, which is likely to propel product demand over the forecast period.
