Product Definition:
Weld tabs are small pieces of metal that are welded to the edges of two metal plates in order to hold them together. Weld tabs are used in many different applications, but they are most commonly used in the manufacturing industry. They can be used to hold two pieces of metal together while they are being welded, or they can be used to attach a piece of metal to another object.
One Hole:
One hole is a welding technique where there is no need for filler metal and it's called as cold working. It reduces the heat input and makes it possible to work on small parts with less stress or strain on the welder. The process can be used in both ferrous and non-ferrous metals, but mostly used in steel welding due to its characteristics of providing high strength welds at low temperatures.
Two Holes:
The two holes system is used to mark the position of the weld joint. It consists of a series of concentric circles with a hole in between each one. The size and number of these holes depends on the application but it generally has 2 or 3 holes per tooth.
Application Insights:
Building was the largest application segment in 2017 and is expected to continue its dominance over the forecast period. The building industry has been growing significantly across regions, especially in developing countries such as India and China. This growth is attributed to increasing construction activities for residential & commercial buildings, infrastructure development, etc. Welding plays a significant role in construction of structural steel which accounts for approximately 50% of total welding requirement on account of its high strength-to-weight ratio making it suitable for use in constructions where weight restriction is an important factor.
Automotives was the second largest application segment accounting for 21% share of global volume in 2017 owing to rising demand from automotive manufacturers globally including Japan, Germany, U.S.
