Short Arc Xenon Lamp:
Short arc xenon lamp is a low-pressure mercury vapor lamp used in flash photography. It produces light with narrow spectral lines, which are suitable for color photography. The short arc length of the gas results in high intensity and more number of photons per second, which makes it useful for producing bright images.
Application Insights:
The applications of xenon lamp are classified into spectroscopes, microscopy, optical experiments and others. The spectroscopes segment held the largest market share in 2017 due to extensive usage as a light source for various spectroscopic techniques such as atomic force and magnetic force microscopy. It is also used in absorption measurements for gaseous samples.
