The ground fault monitoring system is used for detecting electrical faults in the circuits that are underground or underwater, through electrodes or probes that are attached to the surface of the earth. These systems monitor power line frequency, voltage fluctuations, and AC leakageages along with Ground Fault Volumes (GVs).


DC:


DC is direct current and it's unit of measurement is amperes. DC voltage levels vary from 2V to 8V. DC current can flow in two directions, namely, from positive to negative terminal or the other way around. It flows only in one direction because of its polarity which makes it different than AC current that has a constant positive side and negative side (as seen below).
